On the 12 August we have a full solar eclipse - one that is heralded as not only a massive event in August, but one that is hugely significant in what is turnout out to be a pretty momentous year! The energy pulling us forward through this is so much stronger and 'louder' than the Lion's Gate this year, hence my focus on this alignment specifically (where in previous years, I have always supported the diamond community through the 8:8 Lions Gate).
I had already been picking up 'signals' about this eclipse season and then came across this astrological description which placed the energetics into such clear perspective :
"There are plenty of metaphors used to describe eclipses – from portals and thresholds to cosmic wild cards. And while all of these are true, there’s something about the astronomy of eclipses that makes its core purpose clear. An eclipse is, fundamentally, a reversal.
At a Solar Eclipse, the Moon overtakes the Sun. The day literally turns into night – at least along the path of totality.
At a Lunar Eclipse, the shadow of the Earth falls across the Moon, and the Moon turns red. The dramatic sight is a perfect metaphor for what happens when the Earth principle takes over the Lunar one.
Basically, at any eclipse, what is supposed to happen is overturned, overruled, and rerouted. Something that was not part of the original plan comes in to flip the script.
And while these reversals can look disruptive from ground level, from a larger perspective, they are realignments.
Eclipses are acts of restoration – call them karmic if you like – where things get recalibrated so that what needs to happen, happens.
No wonder eclipse season is so intense. The script changes, and life moves in a direction we may not have chosen – but is nevertheless needed.
This is a Total Solar Eclipse at 20° Leo that will flip the script around who we are and what that means in the real world.
The Sun is our identity, and Leo is also our identity – not the instinctual Aries drive to exist, but the identity we wear on our sleeve: I’m a mother. I’m a doctor. I’m an artist.
When the lunar principle comes in and overrides the Sun, our conscious identity becomes flooded with unconscious material we were not aware of, had neglected, or had simply decided wasn’t that important.
But when the dam breaks, the dam breaks.
All those buried needs, desires, and truths come rushing through, demanding to be acknowledged.
The Eclipse cracks us open at an identity level, showing us what is crucial for our development and what MUST be integrated so we can become more fully ourselves.
The Solar Eclipse is trine Saturn, supporting long-term growth and giving structure to whatever is trying to emerge.
"The last times we had eclipses falling along the Leo-Aquarius axis were from August 2016 to January 2019, from February 2008 to August 2009, and from August 1998 to July 2000. Similar themes may emerge in our lives"

This last sentence really resonated deeply with me as I could immediately connect with the themes and the 'flipping of the script' during every single one of those time periods - and each one of them was BIG! Each shift catalysed a fundamental change and taught me incredibly deep and enduring lessons around Trusting in my Divine Self, Surrendering, Aligning with my True Self, Authenticity, doing what is right. From relationship, career and home endings (twice!), to massive awakening and re-awakening, having the rug pulled from under me numerous times, finding out where, and in whom I had misplaced my trust, and most definitely issues of self-identity and inner strength!
What patterns can you identify through the previous cycles? Hindsight is a wonderful thing and can provide us with great insights, enabling profound growth moving forward.
Let's make this round a more conscious one, where we work together to flip whatever switches need to be flipped to transition through this period as we bring more of our expanded awareness into materialisation in the world!
