This is probably one of the most important topics of our time, given that many 'highly sensitive' individuals are being birthed into what are essentially highly toxic, pathological societies and cultures. This is not an easy environment for an empath no matter what age, as empaths serve as emotional buffers, literally absorbing the pain of others.
The thing is, you are literally wired differently! You were born with the capacity for highly advanced pattern recognition through emotional data collection. This brings the ability to process emotional data much faster and with greater accuracy than the majority of people - the results of which are often regarded flippantly as 'intuition'. You are way more that this, and in the words of Carl Jung, the Sovereign, fully integrated empath is a blueprint for future humanity.
However, in order to realise the full truth and purpose of your tremedous gifts requires the undertaking of a 'journey', An incredible and deep internal re-orientation - literally an alchemical process that results in both the recognition and sublimation of lifelong structured 'personas' in order to realise your True Self. The ultimate transformation that the empath undergoes in order to fully realise and functionally utilise their tremendous gifts is the reality of the 'Diamond Journey'
Many of you reading this will recognise the obvious traits of an empath :
- extreme sensitivity to the energies of environments and other individuals
- becoming easily emotionally overwhelmed
- wanting to be kind, not wanting to hurt others
- taking on the role of the Helper, the Healer
- internalisation of your feelings
- an inability to articulate or express what you are feeling
- feeling the pain and suffering of others
- being labelled as weak because you are so sensitive
- detachment and feeling excluded
- hypervigilance
- being prey to manipulation, especially by narcissistic individuals.....(and more!)
This last point is particuarly poignant, given that we have a culture that is literally breeding narcissistic behaviours in the form of Influencers, addiction to social media approvals or likes, everyone seeking to identify as an 'expert' in something, everyone seeking their 15 minutes of fame and so on. The consequences of living the profound gifts of heightened sensitivity are incredibly challenging in what is essentially an unenlightened world.
So what would a Sovereign empath look like? Many empaths themselves if they remain unintegrated, wear their inherent sensitivity (and suffering) like a badge of honour, and may even be afraid of the realised, sovereign, empath! These future-proofed individuals undergo such a total change that they are unrecognisable in comparison to their 'old selves'.
