At this mid year solstice, a ceremony of 'peak light' in the Northern hemisphere, we find ourselves in the heart of a Perfect Storm in readiness for rapid change, sudden shifts and transformation.
With great significance and synchronicity, the solstice itself is bathed in the energies of a GAP Day known as the Blue Overtone Storm, which in the mayan sacred Tzolkin is offered as an 'initiation by fire'. It is the lightning bolt that shatters false, structuring reality, purifies the body temple and ignites the lightbody. It is the energy of Diamond.
However, water and its purifying capability is a vital aspect to the process. There is no storm without water, and as the lightning bolt pierces the veils, water rushes in to cleanse and purify all that is being exposed. Water is the 'liquid crystal light' of your essence; that which carries the animating life force and infuses the many aspects and facets of life itself.
Together fire + water give life to life.
There is an African cosmology that provides us with some deep insight wisdom on how we can effectively work with these two elements in order to make the most of the transformation potential on offer. This ancient wisdom guides and informs our solstice gathering as we navigate this initiatory window and the turbulence around us (and within).
